Do I keep my clothes on?

A. Yes. Apart from shoes you remain fully clothed.

Are there exercises to do?

A. No, but you will probably be shown the semi-supine (lying with head supported) during your first lesson and asked to do this daily.

Can anyone do it?

A. Yes. The Alexander Technique can improve management of stress and pain, and provide coping skills for chronic illness and disabilities.

How many lessons will I need?

A. This varies from person to person but a course of 20 to 30 lessons is recommended to provide a good foundation.
Usually if something is wrong we think we must do something to put it right. The new pronciple is that if something is wrong we must find out what it is  and stop doing it. The only cure for banging one's head against the wall is to stop.
